BMS Unit Tasks
Monitoring the service's systems in the Central Services Systems Console, such as:
- Water cooling system (chillers)
- Water heating system (boilers)
- Electricity generation system (turbines)
- Compressed air generation system (Syntec)
- Monitoring high-pressure transformer readings in the 20J building
- Monitor the water flow status of the educational area and other facilities in Building 20C
- Monitoring the water level in septic tanks in Building 20D
- Monitor the status of fuel tank pumps in Building 20G
- Monitor the condition of propane pumps and compressors in Building 20H
Monitoring and controlling the building management systems console, such as:
- Air handling units
- Internal and external lighting system
- Chilled water and medium temperature system
- Electricity substations
- Irrigation system
- Gas leak detection system in scientific colleges
Monitoring and controlling the Fire Alarm systems console, such as:
- Fire sensors, detectors, and firefighting equipment in the university city
- Carbon oxide and halon gas alarm system for fire fighting
Monitoring and controlling the Security systems console, such as:
- Magnetic Access Card system
- Door alarms
- Elevator alarms
Responsibilities of BMS Unit:
- Study and analyze system operation problems and find available solutions to prevent them from occurring
- Preparing technical reports on the status of equipment associated with the system
- Issuing work orders to the contractor to follow up and implement them.
- Following up on urgently necessary work and tasks (conferences, celebrations, seminars, graduation ceremonies) and other activities carried out by the university
